Donated $400.00 to Southeastern Guide Dogs School, $400.00 to Camp Seale Harris Dibetic Training Camp,& $500.00 to the Hightower Library.
Donated 100.00 to Donnie Hewett to help with funeral expenses, $550.00 to Reagan Hatcher to help with expenses at Childrens Hospital in Birmingham. $250 to Tommie Brooks to help with medical expenses from motor cycle wreck.
Gave 130 baskets of fruit to resident at the Sumter Rehap in York, $100.00 to Bayou Lions Club to help refund expenses they incurred helping feed divers searching for children trown off bridge, $25.00 to Alabama Sight
Presented Amos Bailey Jr. with a Melvin Jones Fellow award, which is the highest award for an individual in a club level.
Gave $100.00 to Friends of the Arts to teach Sumter Nursing Home residents how to paint pictures.

****Each year, the York Lions Club & American Legion provide the (Gatewood Hatcher Scholarship) to a student from Sumter County to attend the University of West Alabama.
